Barbara took up the position of CEO if HoHA in March 2012. Her previous role was academic and researcher within the Discipline of Chiropractic, School of Health Sciences at RMIT University. She remains an active researcher with her research spanning two broad fronts, clinical neuroscience and the evaluation of health interventions (massage and spinal manipulation) delivered to marginalised and disadvantaged communities. Barb also holds the position of Chair, Human Research Ethics Committee at RMIT University.
Barbara has been a member of HOHA since 1991. In 1993, she established the RMIT Chiropractic student clinic at the Sacred Heart Mission, St Kilda, which continues to provide treatment for people who are unable to access Chiropractic services. She is currently a leading researcher in the HoHA initiative of ‘Bringing Chiropractic to Durri’. This project seeks to embed and evaluate a chiropractic service to the Indigenous Community in the rural centre of Kempsey.
HOHA International Project Coordinator: Janine Castle BSc., Dip App Sci (Nat)
Janine Castle is a practicing Naturopath in the Gold Coast with a background in medical science. She also lectures in natural medicine and launched the HOHA India project. She has been facilitating students and volunteers in both Australia and overseas for several years and enjoys participating in HOHA’s cultural exchange programs.
