Students from Australian universities, colleges and TAFEs can apply to HOHA to participate in a student placement within Australia. Placements depend on the course and the type of clinical experience (whether providing therapy or observing licensed practitioners). Each clinic has different modalities and numbers of therapists, so the clinic manager and supervisor must approve of all students before commencing. See our AFFILIATED CLINICS page for locations and contact numbers for clinic manager contact details.
HOHA also offer students placements with INDIGENOUS projects and programs.
If you would like to know more about student placement opportunities, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for recommendations.
“Attending the indigenous knockout challenge this year was a rewarding experience to say the least. Working under the supervision of Joan Van Rotterdam was a privilege. She is a truly kind person and deserves recognition for all the hard work she puts in each year for the Knockout Challenge and everything else she does. It was great to have the opportunity to work with chiropractic students from another university and for the first time this year an osteopathy student attended the event. It is great to have some inter-professionalism and we both learnt a lot from each other. Most of all the most rewarding experience was working with the indigenous players, staff, spectators and elders. Their passion for the sport is palpable and the atmosphere at the event was truly phenomenal. It was an honour to have this opportunity and I thank Joan and Hands on Health Australia for organising our attendance.”
